    Our organisation is SMETA/SEDEX certified. Through the certification we make sure the effectiveness of health and safety measures in the workplace, including the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency procedures, and workplace hazards. By ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. We make sure to protect the workers from occupational hazards and promote a safe working environment. SMETA audits evaluate compliance with labor laws and regulations, including workers' rights such as freedom of association, collective bargaining, and non-discrimination. By ensuring that workers are treated fairly and afforded their legal rights. Envogue contributes to promoting social equity within the workforce. Overall, Envogue addresses social equity by promoting fair treatment, safety, and well-being of workers, as well as encouraging suppliers to engage responsibly with their communities.     We have installed a water treatement system for our dyeing department, we use bio-gas for some of our dyeing and we heat our water with solar energy. We have also offered training to all our staff on urban gardening and provided them inputs to grow their own food at home.

    National Weaving is making strides towards sustainability and has recently completed the Green Skills for Small Business course with Small Business Britain and Oxford Brookes Business School. Our company is dedicated to finding innovative ways to become more eco-friendly.

    We at National Weaving are actively working towards reducing our carbon footprint and increasing sustainability. Here are a few of our initiatives: Installation of Solar Panels: We have installed solar panels on the roof of our factory, and they have generated 42% of our energy usage in 2023. Car Charging Points: We have made car charging points available to all our staff. Recycled Yarn Usage: 80% the yarn used in our products is either recycled or repurposed and meets the Oeko-Tex standard. This label is well-known for testing textiles for harmful substances and stands for customer confidence and high product safety. Living Wage Employers: We are proud to be certified by the Living Wage Foundation, and we guarantee that all our staff receive a wage that is based on the cost of living. We are committed to finding new and innovative ways to support the environment and our employees while ensuring the quality of our products.

    Our main objective for 2024 is to reduce waste and promote a circular economy by recycling our waste materials for use in other textile industries. We are fully committed to adhering to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals while implementing this initiative.

    At our company, we take pride in being certified as Living Wage Employers by the Living Wage Foundation. Our commitment to our staff is to pay them a wage that is based on the cost of living. Furthermore, we have recently introduced life insurance for all of our employees. This also provides access to the Help at Hand app, a comprehensive health and wellbeing app that offers 360-degree support. This includes access to medical and wellbeing specialists, ensuring that our team members have the support they need.
