- Thrifting Pioneer: In the late 1990s, Garnett co-launched Cheap Date, an underground magazine that celebrated thrifted fashion and featured contributors like Chloe Sevigny and Anita Pallenberg. This publication earned her the title of “thrift pioneer” and established her as a spokesperson for second-hand fashion.
