Established in 1965 in Arusha, Tanzania, Sunflag is a family-run business and the largest manufacturer and exporter of garments, fabrics and yarns in East and Central Africa. With a workforce of over 2500 experienced and dedicated employees, we offer a fully vertical and transparent manufacturing service - spinning, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing and decoration on-site. It is all part of our "Fibre to Fashion" ethos, along with our commitment to ethical production and protecting the wellbeing of our workers. Environmental protection is also of the utmost priority to us. All the water used in our production goes through our in-house Effluent Treatment Plant, cleaning the water of any dyes or chemicals before releasing it back into the local ecosystem.

From knitted apparel to woven fabrics, as well as yarns and sewing threads, our product offering includes T-shirts, polo shirts and kids and babywear. We deliver to clients all over the world across many industries, but stay close to home when sourcing - working closely with local farm groups to ensure we are offering a truly African product. Sunflag are pioneers in using organic cotton, being the first GOTS-certified mill in Sub-Saharan Africa. We are proud to offer certified organic Tanzanian cotton to our global client base since 2008.
