Khanbogd Cashmere is one of Mongolia’s leading fully-integrated cashmere manufacturers, combining nomadic heritage with modern innovation to create ethical, sustainable, and luxury products for global brands. Established in 1998, our factory has grown into a world-class production facility with more than 7,000 sqm of advanced Italian, Japanese, and German machinery, capable of producing 1,000 tonnes of de-haired cashmere and over 300,000 garments annually.

These images illustrate the heart of our operations — a vertically integrated production line that begins with responsible raw-material sourcing and continues through sorting, scouring, dehairing, spinning, knitting, linking, finishing, and final garment inspection. Every step is supported by our ISO 9001:2015 & ISO/IEC 17025 certified laboratory, ensuring that quality is monitored with scientific accuracy and consistency.

Sustainability is embedded into every element of our factory. Khanbogd Cashmere is proud to be the first Mongolian manufacturer awarded the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) Gold Certification, recognising our leadership in traceable, environmentally responsible production. Our initiatives include renewable solar energy (80 kW), waste-water treatment systems, chemical-safety management, full waste-sorting and recycling programmes, and large-scale reforestation under Mongolia’s “Billion Trees” initiative.

The images also reflect our collaboration with herder cooperatives across 10 provinces, supporting animal welfare, grassland regeneration, and fair livelihoods. Through these efforts, we preserve Mongolia’s unique natural fibre ecosystem while creating premium-quality cashmere in its purest, most ethical form.
