Product Over View :
- Single Jersey: A knit fabric made on a circular/flat machine with one set of needles. It has one smooth face (the “right” side) and one more textured side (back). It’s stretchy, soft, comfortable.
- Because of the structure, single jersey has certain characteristics:
- It tends to curl at the edges (especially the width wise edges) because of the loop structure.
- 100% Cotton : The fiber is cotton (no synthetic blends). Good breathability, natural feel, comfortable against skin.
- 160 GSM : 160 GSM positions this fabric in the light‑to‑medium weight range for jersey knits — light enough for comfortable wear, but substantial enough for everyday apparel.
- Breathability: Since it’s knitted and relatively light, good air circulation, comfortable for warmer climates.
- Durability: While 160 GSM is lighter than heavier knits, decent quality yarn (e.g., 30’s cotton) + good finishing can give acceptable durability for T‑shirts, casual wear. Suppliers mention durability.
